Funding supports research on collaboration strategies between academia and industry in innovation processes

For many years, we spoke about academia–industry collaboration almost exclusively as a process of technology transfer. The logic was simple: academia researches, discovers and develops; industry applies, commercialises and scales. A linear flow of knowledge, from scientific production to the market.

CCG/ZGDV plays a decisive role within PRODUTECH DIH, positioning itself as a key facilitator in the digital transition of the manufacturing industry by enabling SMEs to test, validate and refine technological solutions before investing.

On 11 February, we mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a date promoted by UNESCO that invites us to reflect on the importance of women’s participation in science and technology and their role in building fairer, more innovative and sustainable societies.

The digitalisation of the manufacturing industry is now an essential condition for the competitiveness of the Portuguese economy. In a context marked by international pressure, increasingly demanding value chains and growing sustainability objectives, industrial companies face the challenge of modernising processes, technologies and skills in order to remain relevant.

The CCG/ZGDV Institute is a partner in the INNChild – Innovation for Child Development project, developed in collaboration with F3M and Prochild, which aims to create an innovative digital solution to support parenting and monitor early childhood development.
