FRAMEWORK
Construction sector continues to face significant challenges in health and safety at work, and is one of the sectors with the highest exposure to risks and accidents incidence.
Digital technologies advances, particularly Artificial Intelligence and immersive solutions, are creating new opportunities to develop more effective training methodologies capable of simulating real-life scenarios, predict risks, promoting active learning and encouraging the adoption of preventive behaviours on construction sites.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
AIGENT project aims to develop an innovative decision-support solution for construction safety by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Reinforcement Learning (RL) with optimised 4D BIM models.
The solution aims to automatically extract information from BIM models, optimise construction sequences based on safety and sustainability criteria, and train intelligent agents in virtual simulation environments capable of analysing multiple risk scenarios and recommending the safest alternatives.
The platform includes the automatic assessment of construction sequence safety, multi-objective construction planning optimisation, the dynamic generation of safety plans and evacuation routes, as well as the simulation of the safe operation of construction equipment, such as cranes.
These capabilities will be supported by intelligent agents trained in realistic virtual environments, enabling risk mitigation strategies to be validated before implementation in real-world settings and contributing to a more efficient and proactive approach to construction site safety management.
