The CCG/ZGDV participated in "Mostra Empresarial", which took place on 28 and 29 May at the Fórum Braga. This initiative, organised by InvestBraga, brought together businesses, institutions, knowledge centres and members of the public in a space dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship and the region’s economic development.
Over the two days of the event, CCG/ZGDV presented a range of technologies, projects and initiatives that reflect its commitment to applied research, technology transfer and digital transformation across various sectors. Among the solutions demonstrated, highlights included gamified, immersive training experiences in robotics, stochastic simulation technologies, indoor positioning solutions for industrial environments, and a fully connected, data-driven smart urban mobility platform. Visitors also had the opportunity to learn about the EMPOWER project, an initiative focused on empowering young people for entrepreneurship.
One of the highlights was the presentation by Rúben Oliveira (Science and Business Manager) and André Silva (Researcher), which focused primarily on the application of computer vision technologies for detecting neoplasms and lung cancer, highlighting the potential of artificial intelligence and advanced image analysis to support the healthcare sector.
Participation in the Business Exhibition helped strengthen the CCG/ZGDV’s ties with the business community, foster dialogue with various stakeholders, and highlight the impact of research and technological innovation on organisations’ competitiveness and citizens’ quality of life.
