The aim of the MaxCut4Fish project is to investigate and develop an intelligent and modular system of automatic cut of frozen fish that, by exploring and combining the potential of computer vision and sensorial automation, will allow to define optimal cuts for each fish according to its morphological, volumetric and weight, thus enabling, among other aspects:
The MaxCut4Fish is an intelligent modular cutting system, allowing one of the modules to cut the posts according to the desired weight, while another module cuts according to the intended measurements, without having to stop the equipment completely for maintenance, since these are alternated/programmed.
By incorporating this state-of-the-art technology in terms of computer vision, sensory automation, and control, with minimal human intervention, it will be possible for the organizations involved:
The CCG is responsible for the development of the computer vision and three-dimensional modeling of MaxCut4Fish. The activities of this project focus on the investigation and development of the algorithms that support 4 subsystems that will later incorporate a prototype that will be tested in an industrial environment.
