The EDIT project aims to improve the management of tourism resources and information on tourist activity through ICT tools, transforming the touristic model basing it on innovation, technology, sustainability and accessibility in order to increase the competitiveness and profitability of this destination: Northern Portugal and Galicia.
The project’s objective is to take advantage of the technology's potential to deepen tourism knowledge and demand based on greater interaction with the visitor. It will also improve the decision-making process of the various agents on both sides of the border.
The role of CCG will be based on supporting information and communication technologies. In particular, UMC, will provide support in the problem of sensing and interacting with people. Understanding where tourists go is a fundamental cue that supports most decisions.
