The project "Lincis traffic" aimed at developing a platform of hardware and software that allows for cost effective solutions for application traffic sensors - a device capable of detecting the presence of vehicles along the road in real time. The goal was to develop a platform capable of simulating human vision and perception, so that, through a set of images, can detect the presence of vehicles on the public road. In addition to vehicle detection, which is the simplest level of processing, you can provide the system with other capabilities such as: (i) there are traffic jams, (ii) counting the number of vehicles, (iii) acting in the signaling devices, (iv) transfer of data to central command posts.
The CCG is positioned as an 'interface' between sources of knowledge (University) and economics (Companies, Institutions) through applied research and development in technological fields related to computer graphics, information technology, communications and electronics and its applications.
